Decluttering

OK, so I went in to school today to do some much-needed cleaning and organizing.  This is what my desk looked like when I got there...

I cleaned, organized and filed my piles of stuff.  I like to call it organized chaos, but still, it WAS a mess.  Now everything is  neat and lesson plans are done.  This is what I will walk into on Monday...

There is still more to do, but I got a LOT done today.

On another note, during my spring break I stumbled upon this great site for making mazes and rebus puzzles  festisite.com.  I made some mazes for spelling and vocabulary practice.  My kids loved them!  Here is a sample of what I did.  Click on the image to go to my TPT store if you would like to purchase it.  Definitely check out the site though and see how you can use it too!

I'm off to get ready for another week.  Let's see what this one brings.

What about you, got any big plans this week?

  1. Your desk looks like mine and I hate cleaning it. Why clean all of the papers off of your desk when you have kids to teach? Grr.

And thanks for sharing info about that site. I am heading over to check it out now! :)

  4. That's what my desk is going to look like when I graduate and become a teacher! I have a tutoring job and my desk gets piled with the children's homework, my pencils and pens, loose paper, counters so I can only imagine it will be much worse when I'm a full time teacher.

  6. I'm glad I'm not the only one with a messy desk! Only I know that cleaning my is pretty much useless, but in the next couple of days it will be back to its normal self. :)
