  8. My favourite spring activity to do with my class is to make rockets. The activity is great once it is finally nice enough to get outside. I have done both bottle rockets and rockets using engines. The students in my class love it. We also host a Star Party each year and set up high powered telescopes in the school yard. The students and their parents/families come later in the evening and get to look at the splendours of the cosmos!

  34. Hi :) I currently don't have a classroom (student teacher) but I love seeing all the neat ideas teachers are doing for spring. One cool idea I have seen for any time of the year that could be used now is how different cultures around the world celebrate spring/Easter/Earth day/ etc.

I hatch chicks or ducks in the spring. We talk about life cycles, kingdoms, vertebrates, all the cool stuff. It is a great tradition the kids look forward to every year. Chicks are great but ducklings are soooo cute. I don't know why but I haven't had as much success with the the ducks, 3 out of 12 eggs. I always find good homes for the babies!!
