Wow, what a month!
It is already the end of June!
I have been in a bit of a funk and have been seriously lacking in motivation,
but I think I am back on a roll now.
Today I managed to finish up these two multiplication games that I have had in the works for some time. They are favorites with my kiddos. I made 'em a LONG time ago,
but have revamped them to make them cute.
These are great for whole class or in a math center.
As an added bonus, I have been playing around with my Silhouette cutter and have made cutting templates for you to make cutting them out easier (if you have a Silhouette, that is.)
When you purchase the file, just email me, and I'll send you the cutting templates as a BONUS.
Click on either of the images to check them out in my TPT store.
Leave a comment with your favorite way to reinforce multiplication fluency in the comments, along with your email, and which game you would like, and I will randomly choose a couple of you to receive a FREE copy!
I promise I'll be a better blogger!
Just getting back in the groove...
Just looked at these on TpT, and they are so stinkin cute! do u think i couldmadapt them to addition &/or subtraction for my firsties? if not, i would still love to win a set to practice facts with my sons at hoe!

My iPad was not cooperating and my one month old is spazzing out while I'm trying to nurse.... I forgot to add what I do to reinforce math fact fluency. I'm not one to do the drill and kill worksheets. I like multilication tic tac toe. In fact, one year we had a rainy day on our first day of school. Weird, huh? I didn't know what we would do for indoor recess because heads up seven up doesn't work very well when you don't know your classmates names, so I pulled that game out and used it for math as well as recess. Worked out well. I'm always looking for games we can play to reinforce fact practice.
DeleteThese are adorable games! Of course, I love the ice cream one the best because.... It's ice cream and I wish it was real. LOL I love having my kids play Multiplication War with playing cards for practice. They love it too! Thanks for the opportunity!

Jivey dear, I need your email... :)
DeleteBoth those games are so cute. Super math station activities! If I win one, I will just buy the other. Have to admit I love the sundae one a lot though. My kids practice fluency with lots of different card games, Bump, fact triangles, Poke-A-Fact and computer games.

Both of these games look suoer cute! I think I would love the pizza one. We play around the world as a whole class and we use dice to practice our multiplication facts.

I try to have the students play games as much as possible, although we do one timed fact test a week. Otherwise, bump, beat the calculator, etc.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the pizza game. Mmmm...

My students like to play multiplication Jenga to review their facts. I still like the oldie but goodie multiplication Bingo. Your games look awesome.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much. My kids are going to love these games. You are so generous and creative. Welcome back to blogging- I am a follower and I have missed all of your ideas.
DeleteI have never had to teach multiplication because I have taught Kindergarten and 1st. Not sure what grade I will be teaching this year due to new principal and she is switching things up.
ReplyDeleteLove reading all the suggestions and saving them for future reference.

ReplyDeleteBoth units are stinkin cute! My most favorite way is playing games with numbers - the kids still love around the world, matching games, etc... They also love the bean bag toss on a grid of numbers - they have to multiply the numbers together.

I have a small tutoring business, so we are working with kids one on one or two in a game with us, usually. We use lots of Bingo, Concentration, and small board games to practice and learn our facts. But, would love to have either of your new games. Today is my birthday and I have been spending all day following people on Ashley's giveaway. I have found so many new friends and I get side tracked following their facebook, blogs, Teacher's Notebook, and TPT pages. So, that's how I found you today, and I have been on your facebook page, blog, TPT page, and TN page for over a half an hour now. I'm so glad to have found you and will be following you now on all of your various pages. Thanks for sharing all of your hard work with us. While I didn't even know you were gone, I'm glad you are back.

I would like to have the Silhouette templates, but I don't teach math. Do you think that I could I adapt these for lit or social studies?

LOVE this! I usually do fact fluency in its own station. With games like product war, bump, tic tac toe, cross out singles, make 10. I am looking into creating a Daily 5 math station curriculum this year. Still doing my research though!

These gams look like fun! I don't really have many original ideas of how I am going to have my students practice multiplication rules. I love using math manipulatives to show what they are actually doing. Also, I like to use Uno Cards for a game of War, where whoever multiplies the two the fastest wins those cards. This year will be my first year teaching, and I've been looking for ways to review multiplication with my fourth and fifth graders. I'd love either of these games!
