Put Yourself in Their Shoes

Lessons on Point of View and Perspective

Today I am linking up with the fabulous Jivey for

For my language arts right now, we are working on point of view and perspective, specifically, how  a story changes when the person or character telling the story changes.
We started out by comparing the story of The Three Little Pigs and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.
(Jivey used this one too for her Workshop Wednesday!)

We talked about fractured fairy tales and commented on the ones they knew.
Then I posed this question...
Here are some of their responses...

Letters From a Desperate Dog is about a dog who is having issues with her human, so she writes to an advice column, Dear Queenie.
After reading the book, I had them think of another situation that Emma might get into and illustrate it from Emma's perspective.  Then they wrote their own letters to Queenie.

Come back tomorrow and see what we did with The Great Gracie Chase!

Here are a few of my favorite books for Point of View.
I would love to hear about yours too!
