"Easely" My Favorite Teaching Tool and a Giveaway

In my classroom, my favorite/most used teaching tool
was my easel,
especially since I fell in love with anchor charts.

After all, it is so much easier to write on an easel than on the floor or taped to the chalkboard.

One of the best investments I ever made was buying an easel like this one.

It was expensive, but I used it for everything!

So I was really pleased thrilled to have
Quill.com contact me
and ask me if I would like to have an easel to review.
Heck yeah!

They sent me one like the one pictured above,
and I fell in love all over again!

The front side is a dry erase board.
There is also this removable/magnetic
lined writing board.

I got to try it out while I was working on this freebie.

There is a removable/repositionable tray to hold markers, paint, or big books.

On the back of the whiteboard is a big book rack, perfect for keeping your big books neatly and safely away from little fingers.

On the bottom are 4 bins in racks that slide out for easy access.

This easel is just PERFECT!

  • An excellent surface for use with dry-erase markers
  • Includes a magnetic pad with 1" permanent penmanship lines and alphabet; pad easily attaches and detaches from surface
  • Extra-deep storage tray includes a built-in pencil tray on each side
  • Inside storage tray features grooves for storing markers, pens and pencils
  • Integrated wire rack mounts behind surface to store big books
  • Removable big book holder includes a built-in marker tray
  • 4 snap-on hooks are included to hold flip chart pads and pocket charts
  • 2" locking casters allow easel to be moved from classroom to classroom; frame is guaranteed for 10 years
  • Includes 4 tubs made of recycled plastic that are guaranteed for life

This easel sells for $269.99 with free shipping.

  1. That easel looks wonderful. When I work with my small groups all I have is a small whiteboard to use and it is hard for me to write on and for all the students in my group to read. The easel would be so helpful.

  2. I would get some furniture from Quill. I hate that I have 32 desks in my room. Tables would be more space efficient and allow students other types of areas to work :)

  3. I would love more writing space. I am in the library and do not have any boards to write on. That is why this easel is so perfect.

  7. I love the easel, but he storage is the best part. I have so much junk to use with the magnetic board, I really need organized storage. It has everything!

  8. I would LOVE this easel. It's very difficult to write on chart paper taped to the whiteboard. It would also help to create a more centered area for mini lessons throughout the day.

  10. I have wanted a real easel for a long time, but they are so expensive! I tried a tripod one and it broke within a few weeks. With this easel, I would be able to teach mini lessons and create anchor charts so much easier!

  12. I need furniture so badly! I feel so unorganized this year in my tiny classroom! I need a tall locking cabinet, or filing cabinet...but I absolutely LOVE the cute colorful classroom storage bins and of course... THE EASEL!!! How great! I have no big wall whiteboards in my room, so I go crazy looking for places to write! I would love an easel! :)

  13. I just switched from Kindergarten to Kinder Prep at a new school. It is a beautiful facility but was designed without thought for writing space. I have 2 VERY small boards to write on but they are not near the carpet area. I would LOVE the EASEL to use. It would be great to use for anchor charts and big book storage (I had to move mine to into storage in another classroom).

  51. Having the easel would be a dream for me, as I am an ESOL resource teacher and often pull small groups in each class I visit. It would be a valuable tool to use as I never have a whiteboard or any source of board to use. With this being on wheels, I can just roll it around with me!!
