Did you know?
- In the US, a report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds.
- Approximately 80% of the children that die from abuse are under the age of 4.
- Child abuse occurs at every socioeconomic level, across ethnic and cultural lines, within all religions and at all levels of education.
There are over 15,000 children in Foster Care in Arizona
(over 12,000 in my county alone.)
More than 90% of these kids are in desperate need of a CASA.
What is a CASA?
CASAs, Court Appointed Special Advocates, are dedicated adult volunteers committed to speaking up on the behalf of children in foster care and looking out for their best interests. CASAs are everyday people, determined to make a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children.
Visit the National CASA Website or your local or state office
and see how you or someone you know can become a CASA.
