Helpful Blogger Network

I have linked up with some amazing bloggers to help new bloggers and those that just have questions.   We all know how frustrating it can be when you have unanswered questions. Sometimes you would like more clarification on a blog post or are a new blogger trying to figure out how to make a hyperlink. Since we value our followers, the bloggers that have linked up with the Helpful Blogger Network have committed to doing our best to answer questions about their posts. So go ahead and ask that question. Maybe we won't get to it that day, but we will respond :)

Summer Goals

I am excited to link up with
For a new Summer Linky Series!
This summer is going to be SUPER BUSY for me!
In between all the traveling I will be doing, I am
to be

So, I have set some summer goals for myself.

I promise myself to work on being a more consistent blogger.
I have tons of ideas, but I am not always good about bringing them to fruition, so I am going to really work on that this summer.

I have been slowly working on updating some of my oldest products.  Sadly, some of the earliest stuff doesn't even have covers.  So a big goal for the summer is to update and beautify all my products.  It's gonna be a BIG job!

Hopefully, by achieving my first two goals, I will be better able to market and build my business, even as I work to build my new photography business.
(More about that one later!)

What are your plans for the summer?

The Sunday Scoop

I have bee soooooo
this past week that I feel like I hardly had time to breathe!

It started out last Friday when I had the incredible opportunity to take a photography workshop with the AMAZING Kathleen Reeder at the Out of Africa Wildlife Park.

It was a life-changing experience for me and
I had so much fun and learned a LOT!

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you saw some of the photos I took.  I shot over 5,000 pictures in the 9 hours I was at the park and got to experience some magnificent animals.

Sunday was Mother's Day and I got to spend the day with my mom and my kids.

I don't know where the rest of the past week went except that I was working on my photos and a new website.

So, here it is Sunday again and the start of another really busy week!

Because I have been so busy, (at least I'm gonna use that excuse,)
I have been letting things pile up in my office,
saying to myself, I'll put that away as soon as I finish...

Needless to say, I gotta get it all put away!

This weekend I had the bet time at a little blogging retreat with my buddies from Hello Sunshine!  We ate, talked, ate, talked some more, went to the movies.  It was a fun and relaxing weekend, and these ladies are the BEST!

We may or may not have done a little some shopping!

I've gotta get busy!
Lots to do this week!
What are YOU up to?

Positive Thinking Thursday

I have been working struggling with learning how to use Photoshop.

I'm pretty tech savvy, but this is a real challenge for me,
and I don't like feeling not in control of something.
I am determined to get it though!

Attitude is EVERYTHING, my friends!

So, here is my first Photoshop creation for this
Positive Thinking Thursday.

What direction are you headed?

More End-of-the-Year Ideas!

Welcome back for more ideas for the end of the year!

I am absolutely in love with this idea from Teaching With a Mountain View!
It starts out by showing the kids this video from Good Morning America.

And then the kids create their own!

Here are some more book suggestions...

This would keep them busy on the last days!

I also really like this idea from Jennifer Runde at Runde's Room.
Writing a letter to the incoming class.

I have done something similar, but hers is more detailed!

Like to do art projects?

How about this gorgeous dandelion art/poetry project?

Wrapping It Up! The End of the School Year is in Sight!

Today I am linking up with my friends over at
Hello Sunshine for the monthly linky.

This month, we are all about ending the school year on a positive, and hopefully, low-stress slide.  So without further ado, here are some fun ideas to make your last days a breeze.

I absolutely love using these books!
My Teacher's Secret Life is my most viewed and pinned post.
My kiddos wrote their own stories about MY secret life and they were a hoot!
You can find my original post here.

Then I bound all the stories into a class book.

They are definitely favorites in my class library!
Click here to get the free printable masters for the pages and cover.

After reading Never Take a Shark to the Dentist, and The Book of BAD Ideas, we make our own version of the book.

You can get copies of the Book of Bad Ideas pages here,
and get copies of the books here:

I have loved making these paper bag memory books from Hope King.

And bubbles and beach balls are always a hit
(even with the big kids!)

Kid favorites are always these word clouds made with their names.

Some years I put them in frames from the dollar store.

and some years I just laminate them.

I make a final video of my kids for the end-of-the-year, but I can't share because it has all of their pictures and names.  It is like the one I posted below, but it has the kids pictures just before the Wordles and the music is "We Are The World."  I love the way it turned out!

You can find a video tutorial about how to make these word clouds here.

It's been a while since I was on the ball enough to link up with Farley from
and not be # 500 and something!

So, here goes...

I love having the house to myself for at least part of the day so I can get stuff done, but I have missed hanging out with the hubs lately since we have both been so busy.  My daughter is 16 now and driving her own car, so she isn't around much, as you might imagine.

I do need to get out of my office and get stuff done around the house.
At least the laundry is getting done though.

I am so excited about my summer plans!
New Orleans for a week for the National CASA conference at the end of this month,  then on to Texas for the TEPSA conference and TPT booth there, then my niece's wedding in San Antonio.  Hopefully, I will get to meet up with some of my SA blogging buddies while I'm there too!  And finally, VEGAS BABY!  Can't wait to see everyone there for the TPT Conference and all the get-togethers!

I'm planning on spending lots of time at the lake with the family and our new jet skis.

I will also be spending lots of time (hopefully!) getting my photography business up and running.  Right now it is just in its infancy stages, but if you want to follow along, I appreciate any help I can get promoting it.  Stay tuned for more details, but in the meantime you can see the baby steps here:
